Join us for our 30th CROP Hunger Walk

WHY do we need to walk?

Money is tight - there seems to be a walk every other weekend, and they are all for a great cause. You can't support them all, so why support CROP.

First of all, CROP Walks were the first of all the walks. People have been walking for CROP for well over 35 years - the first walks began in the late 1960s.

Now the questions of WHY?
Because 27,000 children die EVERY DAY of hunger.
Nearly 2.5 billion of the world’s 6.3 billion people lack access to basic sanitation
One billion people lack access to safe drinking water.
More than 800 million people in the world go hungry.
In the last 50 years, almost 400 million people worldwide have died from hunger and poor sanitation – that’s three times the number of people killed in all wars fought in the 20th century.
AND BECAUSE.....
OUR FAITH TELLS US - that it is OUR JOB to feed the hungry, cloth the naked, care for those who are too weak to care for themselves.

What We Do
